—mother of pearl buttons from 1920s
—French and flat felled seams
— there is a slight difference in white nuance between the top and the bottom edge fabric.
—Some of the fabrics are over 100 years old so suitable care and consideration should be taken when washing. Hand wash cold with a mild, enzyme-free detergent and air dry. Wash only when necessary to extend the life of your unique garment.
—All items are made from hand-selected, found textiles. There may be slight imperfections in the weave, fading, and slight colour-change, which are all a part of the fabric’s history. Where possible original hems and sometimes seams are incorporated and there can be gentle wear.
—Sometimes there can be very small stains or holes that are, if they are more obvious, subtly embroidered over. This is sometimes necessary with such vintage and antique fabrics: I do not believe that very minor imperfections means that a beautiful fabric goes to waste.
